Hand made plates, I decided to experiment on two old plates, a few years old. They have been stored in cling film in plastic boxes. They are a bit sticky but seem to work
They are a bit ( a lot discoloured) but this doesn’t seem to affect the prints.
I tried a few pulls using both a hard rubber roller and a plastic spatula and a cheap acrylic paint. It seems the plates are fine for producing textured tissue or paper. By the time I had
finished a few pulls the plates were getting sticky and starting to disintegrate.
I will try melting and re setting them; only made with glycerine and gelatine. I am amazed they lasted so well.
