A Few More Tests

I decided to go back to basics and try a glass plate for monoprinting with acrylic paint. One noticeable difference is that the paint seems to dry even quicker on the glass if only a thin layer and once dried doesn't lift as easily as when using the gelli plates. I haven't tried letting the paper dry completely, don't think it will be a good idea with tissue ! I did manage to lift a second ghost print ( top left) using hand sanitiser. Using acrylic medium didn't work well. Using another layer of paint did lift a little for a "grunge " effect

Textured papers were much easier on the gelli plate. The effect on these papers was helped by scrunching up the paper a little first

You can get lovely textured papers by transferring the paint left on your roller onto a piece of tissue
